Video

Our good friend Erika sent me this video from our trip to Epcot's food and wine episode 2 years ago. She felt it was good material for the blog. As you can see his antics are not limited to the privacy of our home.

telemarketing calls

The Nodals hate telemarketing calls as much as anyone else but we tend to handle them differently. I use my friend the caller ID to screen calls on our house phone since hardly anyone we know calls us on that line. If I don't recognize the name or number I just turn the ringer off and don't answer. If I do decide to answer (only because I've noticed the same number has called a few time) I let the person get one sentence in to say why they are calling and they say not interested and the call ends. Eddie normally will pick up the phone (he hates that I don't answer calls just because I don't recognize the number) and then hangs up on the person. Well tonight we received a call from Winter Park, Fl which eddie answers. This is the end of the conversation that I hear:

Hello....No, she's not here....I don't know when she's coming back,[pause], EVER.

Eddie: 1 Telemarketer: 0. Let's hope that telemarketer leaves us alone from now on.

90210

So today while catching up on 90210 (yes my macho husband watches 90210 voluntarily) this image comes up towards the end of one of the episodes which was about the character becoming an abs model. At the end of the episode my husband gets up from his recliner and says "I dont know what people see in that guy, I mean look at me." He then rubs the area where his abs would be and says " now this is man".

Shoes

I apologize for so many posts in one day but there were a few that happened over the past few weeks that I was saving to share until I finally sat down to start the blog.

My husband has the tendency to leave pair of shoes all over the house, the living room seems to be one of his favorite spots. Usually they are scattered about but a week or so before chritmas he had left about 3 pairs in the living room however this time they were neatly lined up next to one of our recliners so I refrained from nagging about the collection of shoes. Then one day he came home from gym and while we were sitting on the couch he took off his sneakers added that pair of shoe next to the neat line of other pairs of shoes and said " man I should really get a shoe rack for out here". I wish I had taken a picture of the shoes lol

Christmas shopping

This is the event that prompted the idea of the blog:

While out shopping for christmas gifts at dolphin mall a couple of teenage girls walked past us and we overheard one of them say "man did it just get really hot in here?". Eddie quickly replies "yes, because I just walked past you." All I could do was shake my head at first and then while in the next store the more we talked about it the more and more I laughed. I wish we knew whether they heard him or not.

Husband inspired blog

Before i start posting entries I though I'd explain what the blog is about. Those of you who know my husband know that from time to time some pretty funny and outrageous things come out of his mouth. This holiday season it happened quite a few times and he started throwing out the idea that we should start a blog about the things he says/does that still shock me after knowing him 10 years. At first I dismissed the idea but after posting a few of his clever antics on facebook and seeing that people actually "liked" the faceook posts and made comments I figured what the hell, lets give this blog a try. I hope you all enjoy reading about the adventures of living with my husband and perhaps this blog will bring a little bit of laughter to your life.
